More Event Information
Wade Wallen, a former Bloomington resident and long-time south metro hockey player, coach and fan, was a friend of the community for many years. Wade fought the devastating effects of Huntington’s Disease (HD) until August 2015 when he passed away. Instead of shutting himself away, Wade chose to bring to light this horrible disease and make a difference. With the help of his friends, Wade sought to help find a treatment and a cure. Wade held an annual golf tournament that not only brings hope to his future but to all those affected or at risk for HD. The tournament has continued since his passing to honor his tradition and legacy. This year will be the 13th year that the tournament will take place. The proceeds of the tournament go directly HDSA MN Chapter. The funds will be used for education, research and support for families dealing with the devastating effects of Huntingtons Disease.
Not a golfer? Not to worry! Join us for dinner & awards in the evening. We will have a wonderful dinner, raffle and silent auction items and maybe even a few other suprises along the way!
